P&W Asheville Site Information

As we continue to support our employees in the Asheville, NC area, RTX has established this web page to provide regular updates to our employees located in the areas impacted by Hurricane Helene. Check back often for updates on:

  1. Access to RTX-specific resources, including those available onsite and through our Employee Assistance Program.
  2. Local community resources employees can access to help with recovery.
  3. Operational status of our Pratt & Whitney Asheville site.

RTX is committed to supporting our employees and the recovery efforts, and we are working closely with local and state officials to determine need in the broader community.

If you need personal assistance, please reach out to your manager, HR partner or email:  [email protected].

To ensure you receive RTX emergency notifications in the future, please confirm your information is current in Workday.

Update: All P&W Asheville employees have been accounted for.

Available Updates

Asheville Site Operations Update

Our Asheville site is operational for all shifts, and employee safety is our top priority. If you can safely make it to work, we encourage you to do so, and meals will be provided.

If you are unable to safely make it in, please notify your supervisor as soon as possible to discuss options for paid time off from the company. The safety and well-being of our employees is the top priority, and we will assess situations on a case-by-case basis if needed. For questions, please contact your HR partner or email: [email protected].

Disaster Recovery Process Support

FEMA has opened a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at A.C. Reynolds High School: 1 Rocket Drive, Asheville, NC, 28803. At the DRC, learn about the types of assistance available, apply for federal assistance, learn about the appeals process and get updates on applications.

To support employees through the FEMA and disaster recovery process, RTX has contracted Innovative Emergency Management (IEM). Employees in need of support are encouraged to visit the onsite FEMA Café (lower-level facilities offices) to connect with an IEM representative.

IEM is also available on a virtual basis by appointment to our team members who cannot make it to the facility. Contact your manager, HR partner or email: [email protected].
