Our efforts to build the next generation of innovators extends beyond our company. We invest and partner with organizations that bring high quality STEM programs — both locally and globally — in an effort to build the future pipeline of STEM talent.
Shifting the paradigm
RTX is an advocate of Paradigm for Parity, a coalition of business leaders dedicated to addressing the corporate leadership gender gap. The coalition is made up of CEOs, senior executives, founders, board members and business academics who are committed to achieving a corporate world where women and men have equal power, status and opportunity. The ultimate goal is to achieve full gender parity by 2030, with a near-term goal of women holding at least 30 percent of senior roles.

Relaunching great careers
Our Re-Empower Program provides an opportunity for women to relaunch their careers after a professional hiatus of two or more years. The 14-week program provides professional development, training, mentoring and networking with the goal of transitioning into full-time or part-time roles within our organization.

Participants gain paid, on-the-job experience and have an opportunity to network with leadership, develop personalized plans for success and receive coaching to guide their return to work experience. Upon completion of the program, based on performance and contributions, participants will be eligible for a career at RTX.
Developing female leaders of all ages
Girls Who Code
RTX has partnered with Girls Who Code, an international organization that is building a pipeline future female engineers, since early 2019. GWC’s mission is to close the gender gap in entry-level tech jobs by 2027. The organization runs free afterschool programs that teach coding, build confidence and create camaraderie for girls in grades 3 through 12.

Simmons Leadership Conference
RTX is a premier sponsor of the Simmons Leadership Conference. Every year, more than 4,000 female professionals attend this women’s leadership conference. Speakers include prominent female leaders, such as Madeline Albright, Maya Angelou and Oprah Winfrey, who discuss experiences and concerns of women in the workplace around the world.
Society of Women Engineers
RTX serves on the Society of Women Engineers Corporate Partnership Council. With over 42,000 members around the world, SWE is the world’s largest advocate for women in engineering and technology. For more than 60 years, the organization has helped women grow their careers and voices in the engineering industry.
WILL Rise
WILL Rise began as a grassroots effort to accelerate the growth and advancement of women in P&L leadership roles. The year-long program is dedicated to providing meaningful and sustained learning and development, networking and mentoring opportunities. WILL Rise is creating a community of passionate, strong and confident women who support each other’s professional growth and encourage future generations of female P&L leaders to thrive.
Women of Color STEM Conference
Women of Color magazine's annual STEM Conference offers both valuable career networking opportunities and prestigious award ceremonies. Attendees have the opportunity to meet and learn from executives representing Fortune 500 companies that are committed to diversity and advancement of women in the workforce.
