Defending at the speed of light

The Phaser high-power microwave system uses directed energy to down drones—single ones or swarms—at the speed of light. Operators focus a wide, arcing energy beam on drones that sends out a short, high power burst of electromagnetic energy, destroying their electronics and dropping them simultaneously from the sky.

Testing technologies

The U.S. military is using directed energy anti-drone systems to protect assets around the globe.

In an Air Force exercise, personnel took control of Raytheon's high-power microwave and high-energy laser systems after one day of training, and defeated drones in real-world scenarios. The exercise followed a directed energy Army demonstration.

Raytheon's high-power microwave and high-energy laser systems can be used independently or together.
