Over the past 50 years, RTX has expanded its presence in Singapore from its origins in engine inspection and aerospace manufacturing to a diverse portfolio that now includes engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul, nacelle and airframe composite systems, avionics services, and connected aviation solutions.
As RTX’s third-largest commercial footprint outside the U.S., Singapore is integral to global operations, bolstered by strong government collaboration and its strategic regional location.
Since the 1980s, RTX has forged lasting partnerships with the Singaporean industry, driving innovation to advance global aviation and critical defense programs, reflecting a deep commitment to shared success. Most recently, RTX signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), outlining a 10-year roadmap for strategic collaboration. This agreement paves the way for investments and partnerships in advanced manufacturing, MRO, and foundational technologies for next-generation platforms, reinforcing Singapore’s role in shaping the future of aerospace and defense.

Through Pratt & Whitney, RTX’s military engines business delivers cutting-edge propulsion systems, such as the F100 and F135 engines, offering unmatched performance, reliability and technological innovation to power the world’s most advanced military aircraft. Pratt & Whitney proudly powers the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s F-16 fleet with F100 engines and will support its F-35 fleet with F135 engines, set to arrive in 2026.

Singapore serves as a key hub for Pratt & Whitney, providing support to the Asia Pacific aviation industry. Engine centers including Eagle Services Asia and Pratt & Whitney Canada (SEA) — alongside specialized engine component repair facilities — provide world-class maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for the GTF™, and PW127XT engines that power next-generation commercial aircraft.
Complementing its MRO presence, Pratt & Whitney established an advanced manufacturing facility utilizing cutting-edge technology to produce critical components for the GTF™ engine.

The aviation industry is undergoing a digital transformation through connected aircraft, leveraging technologies like IoT, AI, machine learning, and analytics to turn data into actionable insights. RTX leads this transition with a comprehensive suite of solutions, such as FlightHub, FOMAX and InteliSight™, using predictive analytics and real-time data to enable airlines to enhance decision-making, improve efficiency, save fuel, and optimize flight performance.

Through Collins Aerospace, RTX is pioneering the Future of Flight by developing transformative technologies that enhance efficiency and performance, including more electric systems, sustainable fuels, lightweight advanced materials, and intelligent routing solutions. Singapore plays a pivotal role in these efforts, serving as a key hub with four centers of excellence focused on avionics, machining, and additive technologies, as well as robust MRO capabilities that drive innovation and support the global aviation ecosystem.

Through Raytheon, RTX's air warfare solutions deliver cutting-edge technologies that integrate advanced sensors and precision effectors to ensure air superiority. In support of the Republic of Singapore Air Force, RTX has contributed to the nation's defense capabilities with systems like the AIM-120 AMRAAM® and sophisticated radar technologies, providing superior threat detection, targeting, and engagement capabilities to secure and protect its airspace.
