Developing the American workforce

RTX is strengthening the nation’s manufacturing and engineering workforce through deep investments in education, training and hands‑on career pathways. We partner with more than 85 universities, trade schools and community colleges across the country to help build a skilled, innovation‑driven workforce. These external partnerships are complemented by significant internal investments in employee learning and upskilling, ensuring the current and future workforce has the capabilities needed for advanced manufacturing, engineering, and emerging technologies. 

Delivering a skilled talent pipeline

RTX hires more than 5,000 employees each year through partnerships with trade schools and community colleges, using apprenticeships, industry‑aligned coursework and hands‑on manufacturing training to build a steady pipeline of skilled talent. 

Supporting tomorrow’s engineering leaders

RTX partners with more than 85 universities nationwide and brings on nearly 4,000 interns annually, supporting early‑career engineering, research, and technology development through funded labs, academic chairs, fellowships and collaborative research programs. 

Advancing employee expertise
