The technological strength of Pratt & Whitney’s Israel operations is rooted in the combined heritage of Blades Technology Ltd. (BTL), founded in 1968, and Turbine Jet Ltd. (TJL), founded in 2009. Both companies were established by renowned Israeli industrialist Stef Wertheimer and were fully integrated into Pratt & Whitney following their acquisition in 2014.

Integral Bladed Rotors (IBR)
