
Catherine McElroy
Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Legal, Contracts & Compliance
Catherine McElroy is senior vice president and general counsel for Raytheon, an RTX business specializing in integrated air and missile defense, advanced sensors, space systems, hypersonics and effectors. She leads the Legal, Contracts & Compliance organization, overseeing all legal and contractual matters for the business.
Prior to her current role, McElroy was vice president and general counsel for Naval Power, and chief of staff to RTX’s chairman and CEO. Other previous roles include vice president and associate general counsel for Ethics and Business Conduct at RTX, deputy general counsel for Raytheon Intelligence & Space, and senior counsel for Cybersecurity and Special Missions.
Before RTX, McElroy served as general counsel of the House Armed Services Committee, counsel to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and assistant general counsel at the Central Intelligence Agency.
McElroy holds a juris doctor from American University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia.
