Jennifer Hubbard
President, Strategic Missile Defense
Jennifer Hubbard is president of Strategic Missile Defense for Raytheon, a business of RTX that specializes in integrated air and missile defense, advanced sensors, space-based systems, hypersonics, effectors and cyber solutions. She is responsible for all Raytheon programs within the Missile Defense Agency, and for developing and executing the strategy for missile defense architectures and products. Her organization manages a portfolio that generates approximately $3 billion in annual sales and includes development, modeling and simulation, test, production and sustainment programs.
Hubbard’s previous roles with the company included management and oversight of large sensor programs for the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Army, NASIC, MDA and other customers. She was named one of Raytheon Missile & Defense’s Program Managers of the Year in 2020.
Prior to joining the company in 2016, Hubbard was a program manager at BAE Systems’ Electronic Systems business in Nashua, New Hampshire. At BAE Systems, she led various activities related to the capture and management of strategic programs for the Electronic Combat Solutions (Electronic Warfare) business including the U.S. Air Force’s F-15 DEWS and EPAWSS programs. She was named BAE Systems’ Program Manager of the Year for Growth in 2014.
Hubbard was an aviation officer and UH-60 Black Hawk pilot in the U.S. Army. During her military career, she provided critical leadership and staff support in several roles, including Flight Platoon Leader, Battalion Operations Officer and Brigade Adjutant. She flew hundreds of combat hours while deployed to Southwest Asia in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2003 to 2004. Her military awards and decorations include the Army Achievement Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Parachutist Badge (Airborne), the Air Medal and the Bronze Star.
Hubbard holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations with a minor in civil engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, and an MBA from The George Washington University. She also holds a Program Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Program Management Institute.
